Fuel scarcity hits Ogbomoso

Fuel scarcity has hit Ogbomoso in Oyo State as many filling stations were shut on Monday.
Unusual long queues were noticed in most filling stations in Ogbomoso and other major towns around the zone on Monday.

A tour round Ogbomoso metropolis on Monday revealed that most filling stations were shut expect some few stations around Isale Ora that are open.

Bovas filling station at Takie square and Ile ewe were under lock and key.

Petrol attendants and station managers, said the closure was due to unavailability of the product.

Some of them said that they were instructed by the owners not to sell due to shortage in supply from the depot.

Our correspondent confirmed that in few places where the product was sold, a litre of the Premium Motor Spirit otherwise called petrol was sold for between N170 and N200.
