The Misconceptions About Money
Psa 112:1-3 KJV Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. (2) His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. (3) Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
Zec 1:17 KJV Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad;…

This week I would like to speak about some misconceptions about money:
God’s Unchangeable Plan for Us and His Kingdom:
It is a common knowledge that when the purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable, this saying applies both in and outside the Kingdom of God. However, in order to avoid unnecessary assumptions and fabrications of ungodly plans God has revealed through His Word that we were created for His pleasure and for the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth (Genesis 1: 26, 28). In other words, the unseen God wants to make His will to manifest in the seen world through our will!
It is so wonderful to discover that the same passage that contains the Mandate of The Kingdom expansion as God handed it down to mankind at the beginning of creation, (Genesis 1: 26- 31, Matthew 28: 18-20) also contains the assurance of the ability to carry out the responsibility or the empowerment to do the work.
God gave man dominion over all the resources under the earth, on the surface of the earth and in the space above the earth. This takes us to the Biblical definition of prosperity which is “Having all that is required to carry out a particular assignment or mandate as at when due without having to suffer, beg, manipulate of compromise your faith in God”
With this understanding, it is therefore very clear that it will be impossible for man to fulfil the reason for his existence without prosperity!
Solomon, one of the wisest men that ever lived wrote in Ecclesiastes 10:19 (KJV) “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
God also spoke to the children of Israel and by extension to all His children in Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV) “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
The devil knows this fact very well and that is why he would do anything possible to disconnect us from divine prosperity especially by suggesting ungodly mindsets about the subject of Kingdom wealth. The Truth is that whoever controls your mind controls your whole destiny (Proverbs 23:7)
The purpose of this article therefore is to expose some of those misconceptions about money so that we can expose the lies of the devil in order to get our minds renewed so that our lives can be transformed to the image of Christ for us to be better instruments in The Lord’s Hands for the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth and for the blessing of mankind.
The devil wants you to feel guilty for having money or to make it a god so that he can cripple the Kingdom expansion plan!
This is because either of the two ways of prosperity abuse will disconnect you from supernatural prosperity!
MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT MONEY
Ignorance of the scripture is the reason for the misconceptions about money and the solution is to search the scriptures for the TRUTH. Jhn 5: 39
1) Money is the root of all evil?
Money is not evil; Jesus needed money to run His earthly ministry. If it was evil Jesus would not have associated with it at all. It is the love of money that was said to be the root or the foundation of all evil but not money itself. 1Tim 6: 10
2) Money corrupts holiness?
The righteous shall be wealthy Ps 112: 1 – 10. Money reflects the image of heaven than hell. Poverty is an image of Satan.
God is the most holy and most wealthy which simply proves that money cannot corrupt holiness except when it is abused (Ps 50:10 – 12, Isa 6: 3)
All the people who enjoyed a good covenant relationship with God in the Bible were rich, examples include: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, David and many more.
Not all successful people are thieves!
We were created in God’s image and if He could combine the nature of holiness and prosperity together, we should be able to do the same otherwise something is wrong! (Psalms 100: 3)
3) Rich men will not go to heaven? Mk 10: 24 – 25
What Jesus was saying in that passage of the scripture was that for those who TRUST in riches instead of God it will be very difficult for them to go to heaven except they put their Trust in God.
If they are able to shift their focus from the riches they will surely go to heaven.
According to the prevailing tradition as at the time Jesus was giving this teaching the eye of the needle was the pedestrian door that is always built with the main gate of the entrance to the city.
Note that their cities were walled then and their mode of transportation especially for the traders was camel.
A camel is a very tall animal and for it to pass through that small pedestrian gate with its owner and his loads will involve:
a) The owner coming down
b) Unloading the camel
c) Taking in the loads first
d) Bowing down or kneeling down to enter
e) It is after entering that the owner can load and mount his camel again.
Jesus said the task of loading and unloading and bending which was very tedious would be easier than for a rich man who trusts in his money to go to heaven.
It was obvious here that anyone who trusts in any other god or things besides Jehovah will not get into His Kingdom!
Dear readers, it is very clear that the coming of The Lord is at hand and He wants us to progressively and passionately work for the advancement of His Kingdom, therefore anything that will hinder us from doing that work effectively and efficiently should be done away with.
I curse the hold of the spirit of poverty in your life today in Jesus’ name.
Jesus is Lord!
