Sports Minister, Dare Sues For National Integration At Easter

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
Dare, who stressed that the Easter season should be used to offer prayers for Nigeria, added that the holy season should be celebrated by demonstrating the virtues of Jesus Christ in our daily activities.
The Minister, while admonishing the youth to be steadfast, peaceful, calm and optimistic, noted that the federal government will sustain its youth-friendly and empowerment initiatives in a bid to make life meaningful for the people, stating that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is committed to youth empowerment.
In his goodwill message, Dare, who gifted sewing machines and cash to indigents in Ogbomoso in commemoration of Easter, urged privileged individuals to complement efforts of the government in improving the well being of the people.
The Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland said, “I join Christians in Nigeria in celebrating this year’s Easter.
“This season calls for sober reflection as individuals and as a nation.
“We must re-dedicate our lives in the service of God and humanity as demonstrated by Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of mankind.
“The teachings of the Holy Bible must be strictly adhered to by Christians in order to build a decent society.
“The tenets of Christianity anchored on love, peace, unity, piety, sacrifice and selflessness must be embraced in our daily pursuits.
“Nigerians despite religious and ethnic differences must live in peace and harmony for the sake of national well being.
“There must be mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths.
“As we mark this Easter, let us remember to pray for people at the helm of affairs”.
The Minister, while wishing Nigerians a blessed Easter celebration, cautioned against hate campaign and undemocratic acts capable of polarizing the nation.
