Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has praised the resounding success recorded by the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) by securing the long-awaited promotion to the elite Nigerian Premier Football League. 3SC Crushes Ekiti United 6-0 To Clinch NPFL Return

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, 3SC, have gained promotion from the Nigeria National League, NNL, to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL. The Oluyole warriors secured one of the four tickets of the elite league after defeating Ekiti United by six goals to nothing at the ongoing NNL Super Eight tournament ongoing in Enugu state. The Edith Agoye boys had opened their campaign at the tournament with a two goals to one victory over Bendel Insurance and played a one goal apiece draw in their second game against Remo Stars. With this result, Shooting Stars finished with seven points from three matches to qualify for the semifinal of the NNL Super Eight in addition to clinching the NPFL Ticket. Oyo Govt Unveils New Game, TEQball

Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, had on Thursday declared open the seminar of the TEQball, a new football game, for coaches and referees in Oyo State. TEQball is another football game with the use of players’ heads, hands and legs and it is played on a table, like the table tennis, by two players at a time. Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde says his administration is developing sports to productively engage youths in the state. The governor stated this at the presentation of awards and certificates to the winners of the Oyo State 2021 Junior Golf Competition, to conclude a weeklong Golf Clinic organised for kids and teenagers by the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports. Crown FC beat J’Atete FC 3-1

Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso on Wednesday defeated visiting J'Atete Football Club (3SC) of Warri 3-1 in the ongoing NNL League in Ogbomoso. The match was in the week 5 of the 2020/2021 NNL, played at the Maracana Stadium, Lautech, Ogbomoso. Crown striker, Tobi Adeyi, scored the opening goal in the 3rd minute and Ifeanyi Ogba doubled the lead in the 33rd minute. The Ajilete warrior continued domination, which paid off again in the 50th minute, when Tobi Adeyi extended the lead. Samson Edejie of J'Atete FC scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the 46th minute. Crown will next visit Apex Krane Fc, Agbor on Saturday 13th of March, 2021.
