Oyo Boosts Water Production With 1,194 Tonnes of Aluminium Sulfate

The Oyo State government has procured 1,194 metric tonnes of aluminium sulfate at the cost of ₦400million to boost production of portable water in the State. This was disclosed by the State governor at the second stakeholders engagement on the 2022 budget, organized by the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning at Akinyele Local Government Award Hall in Ibadan. The Appointments and Promotions Committee for the Academic Staff at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has recommended the promotion of eighty-four members of its academic community into professorial cadre. A breakdown of the figure indicated that thirty-one (31), of the lot made it to full professors’ grade while fifty-three (52) others were promoted as Readers. The Government of Oyo State has Kick-started a training programme for three hundred and fifty one councilors and thirty three clerks of Local Government Legislative Councils. The Delta variant of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has claimed the lives of two persons in Oyo State. The state Incident Manager and Coordinator of the Emergency Operations Centre, Dr. Olabode Ladipo, disclosed this to newsmen on Monday, July 12.
