Gov Makinde flags Off Saki-Igboho Road Project

Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has flagged off the construction of the Saki- Ogboro-Igboho 45.3km road project at a sum of #8.7 billion naira. Flagging off the project, governor Makinde said the road construction was part of his campaign promises made to the people of Saki. Governor Makinde added that the road when completed would boost food security in the state. The road is being reconstructed by Messrs China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) under the Alternative Project Funding Approach. In a remark,the state Commissioner for Public Work, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, said the road would be completed within 18 months.

Makinde Begins Town Hall Meeting In Saki, Visits Ogbomoso, Ibarapa

The governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has indicated readiness to commence a State-wide town hall meeting, where residents and various stakeholders will have the opportunity to interact and share ideas on development of the State with the governor. Desirous of ending the state’s sole reliance on power supply from the national grid, the Oyo state government has begun the training of over 200 persons on the generation of renewable energy.
