Insecurity: Oyo to deploy Man O’ War operatives to schools

Man O’ War operatives will now be deployed by the Oyo state government to primary and secondary schools across the state in a bid to curb insecurity. Governor Seyi Makinde made the announcement on Thursday April 29 when he received national executives of the paramilitary organization at his office. Kidnapped Hotelier, wife, children, others regain freedom

The owner of Agbo Hotel in Lagbedu in Oyo State, Oyedokun Oyeniyi; his wife, Busayo Oyedokun, and seven others including their children that were kidnapped by unknown gunmen, have regained their freedom. OT had earlier reported that the gunmen stormed the hotel on Saturday night, April 24 and abducted the victims. Confirming their release, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Adewale Osifeso, said “Yes, they have been released,” he said. Osifeso did not, however, disclose whether ransom was paid before the release of the victim.

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three notorious armed robbers alleged to be terrorizing travellers and motorists along Oolo expressway, Ikoyi-Ile. Spokesperson of the command, Adewale Osifeso, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, April 26, in Ibadan, said the suspects, Mohammed Ishaku, Abubakar Isah and Mohammed Bawa, were arrested by the tactical team attached to the Ikoyi-Ile Division while disposing motorists and passengers of their valuables.
