Sunday Dare has been appointed as Chairman of the Implementation Committee on the take-off of the newly established Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Ogbomoso. The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied reports that it had attempted to arrest Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, in Oyo State on Friday February 26. Public Relations Officer of DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, debunked the report in a statement released this evening. It read; ''The Department of State Services wishes to refute the news that it attempted to arrest one Sunday Igboho, today, at Ibadan, Oyo State. UEFA Europa League last-16 draw revealed: Manchester United vs AC Milan, Arsenal vs Olympiacos (See full draw)

The Europa League last-16 draw for 2020/21 has been revealed. Premiership club, Manchester United will face Italian giants, AC Milan in the tie of the Europa League last-16, while Arsenal will take on Olympiacos.  The Europa League last 16 will take place between March 11 and March 18, with the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals the following day after the second leg.  The quarter-finals will then be played between April 8 and April 15, while the semi-finals will be played on both April 29 and May 6.  The final, which will be in Gdansk, Poland this year, will take place on May 26.   See full draw below.

The Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH, have reacted to the viral video of a man said to be a lecturer of the institution having sex with a lady alleged to be a student of the institution. LAUTECH became the number one trending topic on Twitter on Thursday February 25 after the sex tape was released. In the 44-second video, the middle-aged man was seen having his way with the young lady in a room. The lecturer was left in shock after he turned during the act to see a third party filming him. Reps mandates INEC to restore 8 constituencies in Oyo State

The House of Representatives has mandated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to obey the Court injunction on the restoration of 8 State Constituencies across Oyo State, namely; Ibadan North III, Ibadan South-West III, Ibarapa Central, Irepo, Itesiwaju, Oyo East, Saki East and Surulere. The resolution was passed sequel to the adoption of a motion jointly sponsored by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Mr Olusegun Odebunmi during plenary. Hijrah: Makinde approves annual holiday in Oyo state

Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved a yearly public holiday for the celebration of Hijrah, which is  the first month of the Islamic calendar. Governor Makinde gave the approval during celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, also known as Mawlid Nabbiyy, which he hosted at the Government House Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan.
