Ogunwuyi Commissions Community Health Care Center

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, has commissioned Community Health Care Centre (PHC) at at Papa Abede layout, Esaanu Aje area, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The modern Community Health Care Centre which was facilitated by Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi was designed to provide training and medical services to all sort of human illnesses in Ogbomoso.

However, with the commissioning of the Community Health Care Centre, the hospital has now commenced provision of basic health care services to the community and its environs.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony on Thursday, 5th April, 2018, Ogunwuyi said that creating PHC was in line with his commitment to provide healthcare services accessible to all the people in Ogbomoso regardless the party affiliations.

He said “today’s event is a milestone in his plan to upgrade the health system and make healthcare accessible to all the citizens of Ogbomoso at least one fully functional Primary Healthcare Centre in this community”.

The Lawmaker called on the community to own the hospital and ensure that it served them maximally.

“I want to congratulate Papa Abede community who are beneficiaries of this Health Care Centre and other services this referral hospital offers. I would like to charge the community leaders present here today to own this PHC, it is primarily for your benefit and you have to ensure it serves you well”, Ogunwuyi adviced.

The Lawmaker further appreciated the partners, stakeholders and the traditional rulers of the community for collaborating with him to ensure that the Primary Healthcare Centre became a reality.

In their separate remarks, the Alabede of Abede who officially commissioned the project for use, Hon. Sunday Adedeji (Ogbomoso South Local Government Chairman), both expressed delight for the commissioning of the PHC in the community.

They assured the Lawmaker that the community would make good use of the facility. They appealed to the lawmaker to maintain the facility for the benefit of the present generation and the generation yet unborn.

Earlier, a medical practitioner, Dr. Seun Atanda said the Community Healthcare Centre would help in reducing maternal and childhood dead caused by preventable diseases.

Other dignitaries who were at the commissioning event included Hon. Adeyemo Adedeji Abiodun, Mr. Adewale Falana, APC leaders in Ogbomoso, and some other distinguish personalities.
