Crown FC striker Onyekachi Okafor named NPL star of Week 3

Crown FC striker Onyekachi Okafor is the star of Week 3 of the Nigeria League after his brace sunk Dolphins 2-1 at home.

He was chosen ahead of several other contenders who include Akwa United’s Namso Edo, who netted his third goal of the season in his team’s 2-0 win over Kaduna United; FC Taraba Luther Iyorhe, who scored match winner against El Kanemi, and Kano Pillars goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai, who ensured his team did not concede more goals in Enugu against Rangers as he also saved a penalty during the game.

Okafor told MTNFootball.com he is happy to have scored the goals and dedicated them to God.

“I thank God for my goals and the victory. I dedicate it to God Almighty who made it possible,” he said.

“I am targeting top-three finish in the league with Crown FC. I love Zlatan Ibrahimovic and want to be like him.”
