Christmas: Buhari, Odebunmi, Ogunwuyi harps on religious tolerance

Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime has advised Christians in Nigeria to allow their actions and thought be guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ who preaches love and humility.
Buhari, an APC chieftain representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly in a congratulatory christmas message urged Nigerian christians to emulate the life sytle of Jesus christ, and be their brothers’ keeper irrespective of religious and tribal affiliation.
According to him ‘ we have come a long way together and we should continue to tolerate and relate with each others as brother and at the same time work together for the advancement and development of our dear country”.
Nigeria as a country needs our unity and contributions together to survive the current situation and if we pray and fight against the unwanted situation together we shall win together and enjoy its dividends together.
He however urged Nigerians not to lose hope on future of Nigeria saying ‘ We should demonstrate the kind of faith and patience which Jesus Christ demonstrated during his lifetime and believe that all will be well soon”.
While wishing the christian faithfuls a wonderful christmas celebration and a prosperous 2018, the Ogbomosho born Lawmaker however pray for development, peaceful coexistence and more progress of the nation in the year ahead and beyond. He also pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Muhammad Buhari and the APC that better days are ahead.

In his christmas message, Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman National Assembly Committee on Information National Orientiation, Ethics ans Value has urger christians in Nigerians to let the teachings of christ reflect in their lives and relationship with fellow countrymen with other religious background.
The lawmaker representing Surulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal constituency in a statement signed to felicitate with christians on christmas said Christ preaches peace and Unity and Love, Christians should always extend love to their neigbhours and seek for Unity and progress our dear nation.
While expresses optimism that current situation will soon be over Odebunmi said’ Though we are not were we ought to be as a nation, but we are gradually moving up and with our consistent prayers for the country and our leaders and total commitment to Nigeria project we shall get there.
‘We should not allow what we are going through to influence negative thinking and action towards our country or fellow countrymen but we should always pray and works towards sustainability of our democracy and advancement of our dear nation’
He uses the oppurtunity to reiterate his commitment to the development of his constituency, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, has called on the Christians to cease the opportunity of the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ to offer special prayers for the betterment of Ogbomoso land and Nigeria as a whole.
According to the lawmaker, Christians must be in one accord to pray for the progress of the nation.
In his statement when he was addressing the people in his abode yesterday, Ogunwuyi said, “as we celebrate this year’s Christmas, I desire to urge the Christians to embrace the teachings of the Holy Bible and emulate our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we all graciously got saved and the reason for the season.
“As a town, we must continue to live in peace in personal relations with one another regardless of race, political and religious differences.
“It is expected of us to always pray for Ogbomoso land as our Jerusalem in order to build a prosperous town”.
While giving out Christmas gifts such as bags of rice, Boer goats, chickens, clothes, cash, to mention but few, he invited all and sundry to his residence on the Boxing Day to come and dine, wine and shake body together to appreciate God for the gracious and precious gift of salvation given to us by God.
He employed the people to wear the clothes given out to them to the get together as a symbol of love and for uniformity in which he stated laud and clear that the clothes didn’t serve as a ticket to the occasion.
The lawmaker concluded by wishing the Christians’ community a fruitful celebration, and ceased the opportunity to assure the people of good representation and wished the good people of Ogbomoso land at home and in diaspora merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
