Akala takes campaign to Surulere/Orire & Ogo-Oluwa LG

The people of Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa and Orire local government area of Oyo state yesterday stood still for the ADP governorship candidate, Otunba Alao Akala.

The former governor, who was conducting his gubernatorial campaign, was received by thousands of residents of Okoo, Igbon-Gambari, Iresa-Adu, Iresa-Apa, Baya-oje, odo-oba, Idi-Ede, Alaropo-Nla, Ikoyi-ile and host of other communities in the three Local government area.

The candidate said the significance of the crowd that welcome him in all communities visited is a prove that Oyo state people are tired of the present administration for its unfriendly policies that inflict suffering on the citizen, he assure them that a new dawn beckons for development and purposeful leadership.

According to Otunba Alao Akala, who was accompanied by thousands of ADP leaders and members, He said, “I am emotional and touched because of the way and manner we were received. We were received with total acceptance, trust and confidence that we have all it takes to rebuild our dear state, they believe in us because we have been tested and now they can entrust us with their votes .

Appealing to the electorate to desist from any form of violence, Otunba Akala condemned political violence saying, “It is Almighty God that gives power and we are seeking for this power from him and the people of Oyo State.

He called for more political tolerance and understanding, he urged the party supporters to maintain law and order.

“ Don’t allow any body to collect your card, save it for the elections to realize the political change of leadership,” he said.

As the campaign train move to Odo-Oba, the former governor was received with cheers by thousands of residents, market men and women, and party supporters in the ever busy market.

Otunba Alao also at the palace of Onikoyi of Ikoyi-Ile where he was ushered royal blessing for successful outing in the election.
